AmplifyChange are thrilled to welcome Dana Hovig and Liz Lum as our recent AmplifyChange board directors. Both Dana and Liz bring a wealth of experience supporting sexual and reproductive rights (SRHR) for all and add valuable expertise to our governance.
They will together with our four other board directors guide the strategic direction of AmplifyChange, approve funding applications, provide oversight of financial and risk management, ensure compliance and accountability, and approve policies and procedures to govern organisational activity.
Dana Hovig is an independent consultant working with non profits, philanthropies and major bilaterals and multilaterals to facilitate partnerships and enable a culture of performance, excellence, and impact. He previously was Director of the Gender Equity and Governance program at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. From 2013 to 2019, he worked at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he was the Director of the newly-formed Integrated Delivery team. Prior to joining the Gates Foundation, Dana spent nearly seven years as CEO and almost two years as deputy CEO of MSI Reproductive Choices. Just before joining MSI, Dana led Options Consultancy Services. Dana also served more than a decade in leadership positions with Population Services International, including spending nearly 4 years as PSI Country Representative in Pakistan. He lived and worked for 5 years in Northern Togo with the Peace Corps and in Northern Mali with Africare, speaks fluent French, basic Spanish and is working on his Portuguese as a resident of Cascais, Portugal.
Dana is Chair of the Board of FP 2030, Chair of the Board of American Friends of United for Global Mental Health, and serves on the Advisory Board for Aspen Management Partners.

Liz Lum is a passionate, results-driven youth advocate with a proven track record in advancing SRHR, particularly for adolescent girls and young women, by combining strategic advocacy with powerful storytelling.
She currently serves as the Pan-African Hub Organiser at the me too. International Global Network, where she leads collective learning, supports survivor-centred advocacy, and strengthens feminist movements across Africa. Liz is also a Youth Advisor at the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) and with Exemplars in Global Health, contributing to research reviews and ensuring youth perspectives shape evidence and policy recommendations. Previously, Liz served as an Adolescent Girl Advisor with the Global Fund for Women for three years, where she co-designed strategies and managed participatory grant-making that supported girl-centred organisations in global majority countries. Liz speaks French and is based in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
