In October 2024, 537 attendees from 57 countries came together to share effective strategies and lessons learnt to end gender-based violence (GBV). During 13 virtual sessions, panellists and participants showcased effective strategies including media advocacy, reporting mechanisms, government and civil society collaboration, local innovations, and using evidence and data for advocacy.
Participants identified key lessons including:
- unified voices drive change;
- global networks should align with grassroots priorities;
- data is central to advocacy; and
- supporters should invest in local organisations.
