AmplifyChange is delighted to recognise our grantees nominated for 120 under 40, an awards project celebrating the new global generation of family planning leaders.
AmplifyChange grantees who have been nominated this year include:
- Aliou Diop – President, Association des Gestionnaires pour le Développement (Mauritania)
- Maia Freudenberger - Executive Director, Projet Jeune Leader (Madagascar)
- Lallaina Adeline Razafinirinasoa – Country Director, Marie Stopes Madagascar
The awards seek to recognise the achievements of family planning champions who have made significant contributions to enable young people to make informed choices on family planning and reproductive health at a local, national or international level.
Individuals are nominated based on their positive work across a range of advocacy fields including programme implementation, research, service delivery, policy change and media.
This is the second year of the awards; a further round is planned for 2019 to create the final assembly of 120 young leaders.
The 40 winners for 2017 will be selected from an online pool of nominees by a public voting system, before being scored by a panel of experts. Nominees require 75 votes to proceed to the jury scoring round. Each winner will receive $1,000 from the Gates Institute to continue their work or begin new projects.
Online voting is open until June 15 and the winners will be announced in September.
Good luck to all AmplifyChange nominees!
