Changing policies and laws

Governments play a leading and critical role in ensuring that citizens have sexual and reproductive health rights. They do this by creating opportunities to access or demand those rights through the law, the allocation of government budgets and regulations on service providers. They also play a central role in influencing social norms that enable sexual and reproductive health rights.

Civil society can help to shape policy and law through citizens demanding rights and holding governments to account for their delivery. Many AmplifyChange grantees work to create policy and law change.

These tools will help you to strengthen your campaign for sexual and reproductive health and rights policy or law reform.

This is the first in a series of three films from AmplifyChange on how to collaboratively plan an advocacy campaign.
