Training medical personnel in rural post-abortion care
Noting a huge gap for service provision in non-urban areas, the organisation targeted mid-level providers to improve post-abortion care response.

Réseau d’Afrique Centrale pour la Santé Reproductive des Femmes trained 36 medical personnel, predominately midwives, on manual vacuum aspiration for post-abortion care.

Noting a huge gap for service provision in non-urban areas, the organisation targeted mid-level providers in order to improve post-abortion care response and provisions to reduce the consequences of unsafe abortion.

Following their project activities, Réseau d’Afrique Centrale pour la Santé Reproductive des Femmes produced a report about the frequency of unsafe abortion and access to post-abortion care in Lambarene and adjacent rural areas.
